#tgifc227 – embossing powder…

Painted Harvest - Tin Tile by Tammy C. Wilson

08.30.19….. Happy Friday everyone! This week just flew by, and it’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, the focus for our Product Spotlight is embossing powder. I absolutely love using embossing powder, and I’m super excited to share this card with you! Hope you have a chance to play along with our challenge this week…and, don’t forget to check out the rest of the posts from our talented group of designers!

For this week’s card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Underneath, I layered another piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then cut out two flowers (using a die from the To a Wild Rose Bundle) from Whisper White Cardstock, and adhered them to the panel.

I used my Versamark Pad, along with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Heat Tool, to heat-emboss each of the leaves (from the Painted Harvest stamp set) on Whisper White Cardstock. After I cut out each leaf (using one of the Stitched Shapes Dies), I added some color. I used Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray, and Pretty Peacock (along with a wedge cut from my Stampin’ Sponge), to make each square come alive. I also used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling to each square, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker on the edge of the marker cap. I then popped up each of the squares, using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath, and around the squares, is a few strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine, that were pulled apart.

The sentiment (from the Well Said stamp set) was also heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and my Heat Tool. After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then distressed the edges of all the paper on the card. For those extra little details, I sprinkled a few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins and 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots.

Wishing you creativity always,
