For both my card and pillow box, I used the Tropical Oasis Suite! This is such a  wonderful suite of products, and…it is just perfect for guys and girls!  Except for the products in the Timeless Tropical Bundle, the rest of the items in this suite are retiring on June 2, 2020…along with tons of other products from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and theJanuary – June 2020 Mini Catalog.  You’ll want to place your order as soon as possible, so you don’t miss out on your favorite products!

I’ve also included complete instructions underneath each project, so you can scroll right to the project that suits your fancy and start creating!

Let’s start with this fun, little pillow box…

Timeless Tropical - Tropical Oasis - Box - by Tammy C. Wilson

I wrapped a strip of Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper around the middle of a Kraft Pillow Box. I then used one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out a small piece of Early Espresso Cardstock, and embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. For the little tag, I heat-embossed the sentiment (from Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set) on a piece of Tropical Oasis DSP., using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut it out, I layered it on a bit of Whisper White Cardstock (cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies), and added to little strips of Tropical Oasis DSP underneath. The little paper leaves were cut from a bit more of Tropical Oasis DSP, using one of the dies from the Timeless Tropical Bundle. For an extra bit of texture and dimension, I added some Braided Burlap Trim, Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine, and a couple of Tropical Oasis Trinkets.

Next up is my “guy-themed” card…

Timeless Tropical - Tropical Oasis - Card - by Tammy C. Wilson

I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Early Espresso Cardstock base. I then added a large piece of Tropical Oasis DSP, and layered five small strips of Tropical Oasis DSP on top of that. I heat-embossed the sentiment (from Timeless Tropical Bundle) on a piece Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. The paper leaves were cut from a bit more of Tropical Oasis DSP, using one of the dies from the Timeless Tropical Bundle. For an extra bit of texture and dimension, I added some Braided Burlap Trim, Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine, and a couple of Tropical Oasis Trinkets.

Wishing you creativity always,

  2. This is a great idea. I love this set and hasn’t really thought if it as more masculine. But everyone loves the tropics!
