my love for you…

07.14.21…..Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for a recent Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It was an “In Color” Challenge, so the team members created projects with one of their favorite new Stampin’ Up! 2021-2023 In Colors…and paired it with other colors to create a new color combo! So…the In Color that I chose was Fresh Freesia, and I paired it with…..Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Sea Foam. Hope it inspires you to create a new color combo, too!

To create this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then used a Water Painter (along with Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana and Soft Seafoam) to add some splashes of color to a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once the paper was dry, I cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I heat-embossed several of the images from the Friends are Like Seashells Bundle on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then used a Water Painter to quickly add color to each of the images…using Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Seafoam. After the paper was dry, I cut them out with the coordinating dies from the bundle (…I fussy cut the small, round shells), I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment (from the Whale Done Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Opal Rounds, Genial Gems, and gold Metallic Pearls.

Wishing you creativity always,
