stamping sunday blog hop – holiday scrapbook page…

11.28.2021…..Happy Sunday, everyone! I can’t believe that November has almost come to a close! And…..it’s already time for another Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! For this Sunday’s hop, we are featuring holiday scrapbook pages! That being said, I thought it would be fun to create a 6″ x 6″ page for my recipe scrapbook! Hope you enjoy this project, and it inspires you to create some holiday scrapbook pages of your own!

For this scrapbook page, I started with a 6″ x 6″ piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then added three different strips of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. On the left side of the page, I also added a Basic White Thick Cardstock scalloped border, cut out with one of the Basic Borders Dies. On top of that, I added more Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.

The recipe was printed on Basic White Cardstock, using my home printer. (I choose a blue shade of ink that closely matched Misty Moonlight. I layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The silver snowflakes were created with Silver Foil Speciality Paper, along with the Stitched Snowflakes Dies. I also used one of the dies to cut out a snowflakes from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and used a Water Painter to add a subtle wash of Blushing Bride. For the largest snowflake, I used one of the Wonderful Snowflakes.

The little sentiment (from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Misty Moonlight Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The “chocolate” was created with Silver Foil Specialty Paper, using one of the dies from the Love You More Than Dies). The “hot” was created with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, using the Playful Alphabet Dies. I then used a Water Painter to add a subtle wash of Blushing Bride.

For a some fun texture, I added Misty Moonlight Twine (from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack), along with…Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon and Gingham Ribbon (also from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack), both cut in half lengthwise. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Silver Epoxy Essentials, Genial Gems, and silver Metallic Pearls.

Wishing you creativity always,

  1. Up until now I am not a scrapbooker. 12 x 12 is too big a space to wrap my brain around. 6×6 and recipes . . . Love your project, as always!
