sweet conversations…

01.23.2022…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! The Sweet Conversations Bundle (from the Stampin’ Up! January – June 2022 Mini Catalog) is just the cutest!!! And…I totally love the little sentiments on the conversation hearts! That being said, I thought it would be fun to create these little hearts in an unexpected color combo…..Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, So Saffron! Hope this inspires you to create a card or projects using an unexpected color combo, as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then layers of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper, and Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.

For the next layer, used a Blending Brush to add some Coastal Cabana to another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and added some speckling with my Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward toward the paper.)

The little hearts (from the Sweet Conversations Bundle) were heat-embossed on Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, and So Saffron Cardstock….using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the heart with the coordinating dies from the Sweet Conversations Bundle, I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the bow, using White Baker’s Twine, Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, and Pool Party Sheer Ribbon. (Both ribbons were cut in half lengthwise.) For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels and 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
