just for you…

04.14.2023…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created with the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set (and the coodinating Ranunculus Dies) one of the stamp sets that is retiring at the end of this month, from the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. If you don’t happen have this gorgeous set of coordinating products, you have just two more weeks to order them before they retire. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project with some of your favorite retiring products from Stampin’ Up!

For this card, Pool Party Cardstock, embossed it with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder (which is also retiring),and adhered it to a Pool Party Cardstock base. Next, I added a layer of Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.

To create the next layer, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and “stamped off” a few of the images from the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set in Pool Party and Bermuda Bay. After I embossed the cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, I added some speckling with my Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker, and popped it up with Stampin Dimensionals.

To create the die cut flower and leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add random swirles of Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, then cut out the flower and leaves using the Ranunculus Dies. The sentiment (from the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on a small piece of Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. On the left side of the sentiment, I added a couple of Round Brads, which I distressed with a small sanding block that I had on hand.

For some extra texture, I added Linen Thread and Gold Simply Elegant Trim. To add a bity of bling, I sprinkled on Brushed Brass Butterflies, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.

Wishing you creativity always,
