06.15.2023…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s a fun and creative “Stripes or Spots Challenge”. Each of our team members created a fancy project with this challenge, using products from the current Stampin’ Up catalogs. How cool is that?!?!?
I do love stripes, but spots and dots are definitely my fave! To create these dots, I used a Water Painter to add Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Gorgeous Grape to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have 29 amazing projects to share, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!
Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using this Stripes or Spots Challenge! Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, and layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath. I then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to an Orchid Oasis Cardstock base.
To create the dots, I used a Water Painter to add Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Gorgeous Grape to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. To cut out the dots, I used one of the circle dies from the Reach for the Stars Dies, then popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment (from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To add an extra bit of texture, I created a bow with White Baker’s Twine, with a few of the threads pulled apart. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Adhesive-Backed Gems.
Wishing you creativity always,
