stampin’ fancy friday – “for him” challenge…

09.13.2023…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s a super fun“ For Him”. I really love this challenge, because creating a “guy” card can be a bit challenging sometimes. There are 20 awesome cards that our design team created for this challenge, and they are the perfect way to jump-start your creativity!

I absolutely love the new Forever Forest Bundle, and thought it would be just perfect for creating a “guy” card. To create the trees, I used Blending Brushes to add Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Gray Granite to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, and cut out the trees with the Forever Forest Dies.

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We so many amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using this sketch challenge! Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with some Gray Granite Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder , and adhered it to a Gray Granite Cardstock base.

To create the trees, I used Blending Brush to add swirls of Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Gray Granite to Basic White Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to add droplets of water to the cardstock. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I cut out all of the trees with dies from the Forever Forest Bundle. I then embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, and used tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the trees.

To add some extra texture, I wrapped some Linen Thread around the tree panel, tied a bow, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (from the Season of Chic Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Faceted Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
