10.1.2023…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Oops! I’m finally getting around to posting August 2023 Artisan Design Team projects, using the wonderful Seasonal Branches Bundle (from Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog). This is just the sweetest little bundle, with beautifully detailed images and the perfect coordinating dies. I also used two different techniques to create these cards….a watercoloring technique for the “Happy Birthday” card, and Stampin’ Blends Markers for the “Love” card. I hope these cards inspire you to use some of your favorite techniques to create some cards or projects with this wonderful bundle!
For the “Happy Birthday” card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I used a Blending Brush to add Balmy Blue to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, layered some Crumb Cake Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
To create the apples, I used Blending Brushes to add swirls of Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used the apple die to cut out each of the apples.
To create the leaves and branches, I used the same method as above. For the leaves, I used Mossy Meadow and Old Olive, along with the little leaves die from the same bundle. For the branches, I used Pecan Pie and Gray Granite, along with two of the little branch dies.
The sentiment was heat-embossed on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.
To create the “Love” card, I started with some Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder. I also embossed some Tahitian Tide and Melon Mambo Cardstock with the Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder. After I tore the bottom edges of all three cardstock colors, I layered them together on the card base.
The birds and the leaves were stamped on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using a Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. After I cut out the birds and leave with the coordinating dies, I colored the them with the following Stampin’ Blends Marker Combo Packs…..Pool Party, Tahitian Tide, Blueberry Bushel, Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo, Soft Sea Foam, and Granny Apple Green. Underneath the birds and leaves, I also added a Linen Thread bow.
The sentiment was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
