artisan design team – september 2023 – merry & bright bundle…

10.1.2023…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing my September 2023 Artisan Design Team projects, using the whimsical Merry & Bright Bundle (from the Stampin’ Up! September – December 2023 Mini Catalog). This is such a festive bundle, with cutest light bulbs, sentiments, and the perfect coordinating dies. On the “Holly Jolly” card, used a variety of specialty papers, and on the “Oh What Fun” card, I used one of my favorite watercoloring techniques. I hope these cards inspire you to use some of your favorite designer series paper and techniques to create some cards or projects with this wonderful bundle!

For the “Holly Jolly” card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then tore the bottom edge of two different strips of Winter Meadow DSP, and adhered them to the bottom half of the cardstock. On top of that, I added some Basic White Thick Cardstock, which I embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

To create the light bulbs, I used the dies from the Merry & Bright Bundle, along with Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP and More Dazzle Specialty Paper. To string the lights together, I used Silver & White Sheer Ribbon, and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Lost Lagoon Cardstock base.

The sentiment (from the Merry & Bright Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of extra bling, I sprinkled embellishements from the Faceted Gems Trio Pack.

To create the light bulbs, I used Blending Brushes to add Lost Lagoon, Tahitian Tide, and Blueberry Bushel to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets to the paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I another Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink, to splatter more droplets, and dried the paper once more with Heat Tool. I then used one of the dies from the Merry & Bright Bundle to cut out the bulb. For the tops of the light bulbs, I used the coordinating die from the same bundle, along with Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP. To string the lights together, I used Linen Thread, and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Gray Granite Cardstock base.
