designer series paper treat holders…

03.11.2024…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I decided to use more of my Designer Series Paper stash, and created these four little treat holders. Each treat holder is made with a half sheet of Subtles or Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP. Each piece of the DSP was cut in half (on the diagonal), then folded into a mini envelope. I was then able to create two treat holders from each piece of DSP. I also used extra strips of coordinating DSP to create little bands around each treat holder. Hope these inspire you to create a few 3D projects, using your extra DSP as well!

For each treat holder, I cut a piece of 6″ x 6″ DSP in half (on the diagonal), creating two “triangles”. I scored each triangle at approximately 2-5/8″ on the left and right side. I then folded over both flaps to create an “envelope” shape, and used Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere both flaps along the bottom edge. This gave me a little pocket to add a little chocolate square. To create the little paper bands, I cut 6″ x 3/4″ strips of DSP, and folded them around the envelopes.

Each of the sentiments were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then cut them out with one of the Everyday Details Dies. I used sentiments from the the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set, Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, Nature’s Prints Stamp Set, and Circle Sayings Stamp Set. I also added a Basic White Thick Cardstock branch to each treat holder, using one of the Lovely & Sweet Dies.

To add an extra bit of texture, I added Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon and Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon…..both cut in half lengthwise. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins and the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.
