03.17.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, we are each CASE-ing another Stamping Sunday team member. The inspiration from the original card can be interpreted in different ways…..the card layout, the stamp set, the color combo, or even the theme of the card. Hope this month’s theme inspires you to create a card or project, using inspiration from one of your favorite papercrafters!
Above are the cards I chose to CASE, created by the super talented Mikaela Titheridge. My inspiration came from the soft pinks, yellows, and blues that she used on both of her cards. However, I did not have the Little Dreamers Bundle that she used. So…I used the die cut butterflies (created with one of the Meadow Dies) for the focus of my card.
For my card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Blending Brush to add soft swirls Coastal Cabana. I then embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the butterflies, I used Blending Brushes to add Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, and Balmy Blue to Basic White Thick Cardstock. Next I used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets on the cardstock, and dried it with a Heat Tool. After I used one of the Meadow Dies to cut out the butterflies, I used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink, to add more splattering.
The sentiment (from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, and the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.
