stampin’ fancy friday – technique challenge…

04.14.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing the card I created this month for our Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge. It’s a fabulous Technique Challenge, which is always a great source of inspiration! Each team member created a fancy project showcasing their favorite papercrafting technique.

One of my favorite techniques is using Blending Brushes to create a colorful background, and then using a Water Painter to splatter water droplets. For this card, I also added some “stamped off” text images, and then heat-embossed a few flowers that I colored in with Stampin’ Blends Markers. For my color combo, I chose Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project, using one of your favorite techniques, too!

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We so many amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using that month’s challenge! Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.

I then used Blending Brushes to add Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then “stamped off” the “text” image (from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set) several times, using Flirty Flamingo. Next, I used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I used one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out the cardstock.

I heat-embossed the flower image (from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set) several times, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Next, I used Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers to quickly color in the flowers.

For the two large stems, I used one of the Meadow Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock and Vellum Cardstock. The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock. For an extra bit of texture, I created a bow with the Petal Pink Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, and White Baker’s Twine (with a few threads pulled out). To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Iridescent Foil Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
