stamping sunday – technique triumphs…

04.21.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, we are showcasing projects created with one (or more) of our favorite techniques.

For my technique, I used Blending Brushes to add several ink colors to Basic White Thick Cardstock, added some speckling, and used on of the Notes of Nature Dies to cut out the leaves. Hope this month’s theme inspires you to create a card or project, using your favorite techniques as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Pretty Pink Cardstock base.

To create the leaves, I chose one of my favorite techniques, which is actually quite simple. I used Blending Brushes to add Petal Pink, Pretty Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Cajun Craze to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add speckling to the cardstock. To cut out each of the leaves, I used one of the dies from the Notes of Nature Dies. After I arranged the leaves, I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the leaves to the card base.

The sentiment (from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To add some extra texture, I added a bow underneath the sentiment, using White Baker’s Twine (with a few of the threads pulled out). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel-Adhesive Backed Sequins, Petal Pink Foiled Gems, and Blooming Pearls.

Wishing you creativity always,
