05.12.2024…..Happy Mother’s Day, my stampin’ friends! One of my favorite things to do is to mix and match products, including Designer Series Paper, from other suites and bundles. That being said, I paired products from the Mediterranean Blooms Suite and the Country Woods Suite. I was such a great match, that I ended up creating several cards with this combo of products. Hope these cards inspire you to create some cards or projects with a mix of your favorite products as well!
For each of the cards, I used the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to emboss Basic White Cardstock. I then used a mix of the Mediterraean Blooms Designer Series Paper and the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. For and extra a bit of texture to the cards, I also added Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and/or Linen Thread.
To create the little flowers, I used a Blending Brush to add Daffodil Delight to Basic White Thick Cardstock, then used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I cut out the flowers (in various sizes) using the Citrus Blooms Dies. To create the leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and added speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I then used the Citrus Blooms Dies to cut out the leaves.
To create the loops at the bottom of the sentiment, I added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of the sentiment, and looped the ribbon back and forth.
The sentiments (from the Country Flowers Stamp Set and the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad, along with White Embossing Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels in the middle of each flower.
