07.07.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! I love using Blending Brushes to create backgrounds for my cards! For this card, I used my Blending Brushes, along with Berry Burst, Pretty Peacock, and Old Olive. I also used a Water Painter to splatter lots of little water droplets. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project using your Blending Brushes, as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the background, I used Blending Brushes to add the following colors to Basic White Thick Cardstock…..Berry Burst, Pretty Peacock, and Old Olive. Next, I used a Water Painter (filled with water) to splatter water droplets across the cardstock. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I cut out the background with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. I then heat-embossed the leaves (from the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set), using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. Next, I cut out a slightly larger rectangle (also using the Deckled Rectangle Dies) from Basic White Thick Cardstock. I layered it underneath the first rectangle, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensonals.
The sentiment(from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Embossing Powder. To cut out the little flowers, I used the Lovely & Sweet Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock.
To add a bit of texture, I created a bow with Silver & White Sheer Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.
Wishing you creativity always,
