08.01.2024…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! One of my favorite things to do is to create cards with bits and pieces that are left over from other projects. So……today, I created these 4-3/4″ square cards, using leftover pieces of Country Woods Designer Series Paper. (FYI…this is also my one of my fave DSP collections of all time, so of course I ordered more than one package.) Hope this card inspires you to create a card or projects using some of your extra DSP bits and pieces, too!

For this card, I started with three different patterns of Country Woods DSP. On the largest piece of DSP, I heat-embossed the large bouquet (from the Layers of Beauty Bundle), using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. I then and layered at three pieces together, wrapped some Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) around the center of the panel, and adhered the entire panel to the card base. Next, I added a bow, created with more of the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and Linen Thread.

4-3/4″ square Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the branches, I used two of the Textured Florals Dies. I cut the white branches from Basic White Thick Cardstock. To created the other branches, I used Blending Brushes to add Coastal Cabana (for the left card) and Soft Sea Foam (for the right card) to add color to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then cut out the branches with another branch die.
The sentiment (from the Country Flowers Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. Next, I cut out the sentiment with one of the Autumn Leaves Dies. For a bit of rustic bling, I sprinkled on Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots.
Wishing you creativity always,

Tammy, I love the idea of heat embossing on DSP! I don’t think to do it nearly often enough so thank you for the reminder and the inspiration!
