boo…

08.14.2024…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! I love the Mediterranean Blooms Suite, but who said you can only create citrus-themed projects with products from this suite? For an unexpected twist, I actually decided to use the frame from the Citrus Blooms Dies as part of the background for this Halloween card. For the lettering, I used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. I also created a pop of color using Blending Brushes, along with Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or projects using your favorite products in an unexpected way, too!

For this card, I started with some Basic Black Cardstock, embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. Next, I used Blending Brushes to add Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape to some Basic White Cardstock, then cut it out with one of the frame dies (without the leaves) from the Citrus Blooms Dies. I also used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add the speckling. I then used another frame die (with the leaves) to cut out the frame from Basic Black Cardstock. After I adhered it on top of the inked cardstock, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to the card base.

To create the letters, I adhered some Basic White Thick Cardstock to a Foam Adhesive Sheet, then cut out the letters with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Next, I adhere some Basic Black Cardstock to an Adhesive Sheet, cut out the letters again with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, then adhered those letters (slightly offset) on top of the Basic White Thick Cardstock letters.

For some extra texture, I created a bow with Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise). To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment and Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
