stamping sunday blog hop – joyful moments and timeless treasures…

08.18.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, it is all about memory keeping…..be it scrapbooking, mini albums, Memories & More packs, or another form of cherishing those memories or trinkets. And…if memory keeping is not your fancy, you can also capture a memory in a card.

For my project, I decided to create a fall-themed mini album (4″ x 4″)…..using the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, Autumn Leaves Dies, Pocket Thoughts Dies, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Country Woods Designer Series Paper, Country Lace Designer Series Paper, and Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. For the all of the leaves throughout the album, I used the Notes of Nature Dies (recently retired).

To create the album, I cut two (2) 4″ x 11″ pieces of Crumb Cake Cardstock. I scored them at 4″ intervals (to create the folds), and overlapped the two pieces.

I used the different patterns of Country Woods DSP, Country Lace DSP, and Perennial Lavender DSP to cover the album cover, as well as each of the four inside panels. The areas when the “seams” of the Crumb Cake Cardstock meet are hidden underneath the DSP.

The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) on the album cover was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, the cut out with one of the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set.

To create all of the leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also added speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I then cut out all of the leaves with one of the Notes of Nature Dies (recently retired).

To tie the album together, I used two lengths of Linen Thread. For a bit of bling throughout the album, I used Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins.

To create the first inside panel, I used the smallest Pocket Thought Die, along with the Country Lace DSP. I used a Paper Trimmer to cut the Basic White Thick Cardstock tags, the added Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) at the top. I also added a Linen Thread bow on one of the pockets.

For the next panel, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies, along with with Basic White Thick Cardstock. The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder.

To create the third panel, I used two of the smaller Spotlight on Nature Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock.

For the fourth panel, I used the medium-sized Pocket Thought Die, along with the Country Lace DSP. I used a Paper Trimmer to cut the Basic White Thick Cardstock tag, then added Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and Linen Thread at the top. The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder.

Wishing you creativity always,
