happy boo day…

08.29.2024…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a fun twist on a Halloween card, using a variety of products. To create the trees, I used some leftover paper that I had created for my “BOO” card that I posted a couple of weeks ago…..along with the Forever Forest Dies. I also used the Choose Happy Stamp Set, Deckled Circles Dies, and the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Hope this card inspires you to add an unexpected twist to your projects, using a fun mix and of products and colors.

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. Next, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

For the background, I used a circle punch to create a stencil for the moon, and placed it on some Basic White Thick Cardstock. With the moon stencil in place, I then used a Blending Brush to add Smoky Slate to the cardstock, then cut it out with one of the Deckled Circle Dies. I also used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink to splatter the circle. I then adhered the circle to some Basic White Thick Cardstock, which I embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

To create the trees, I used Blending Brushes to add Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape to Basic White Thick Cardstock, then splattered it with water droplets. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I cut out the trees with one of the Forever Forest Dies, and popped them up with little pieces of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I wrapped some Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) around the panel, added the bow, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment (from the Choose Happy Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment and Petal Pink 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (colored with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker).

Wishing you creativity always,
