let it snow…..

11.05.2024…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I with the Yuletide Village Stamp Set, using the masking technique. I also love coloring with Stampin’ Blends Markers, so this stamp set was just perfect for that! For a bit of a twist, I also chose an unexpected color combo…..Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam, and Balmy Blue. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or projects with one of your favorite color combos, too!

For this card, I started with some Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

I stamped all of the images (from the Yuletide Village Stamp Set) on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using a Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad. I used the masking technique to stamp many of the images, which gave this little holiday scene a bit more depth. To color the houses and trees, I used the following Stampin’ Blends Marker Combo Packs…..Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, and Gray Granite. To add some color to the snow, I used a Wink of Stella, along with Balmy Blue Ink (with water blended into the ink). For the sky, I used a Blending Brush, along with a Balmy Blue Classic Stampin’ Pad. I also added some speckling with a Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Next, I used one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out the village. To add some extra texture and shine, I added a bow, created with Gold 1/8″ Trim (cut in half lengthwise), and then popped up the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (from the Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Gold Embossing Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Faceted Gems.

Wishing you creativity always
