11.23.2024…..Happy Saturday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday sketch challenge! This challenge is overflowing with so much creativity and inspiration, and each of our team members created a fancy card, using their own unique interpretation of the sketch.
For this sketch challenge, I took a bit of a subtle approach. I decided to use Blending Brushes (along with Copper Clay, Petal Pink, and Flirty Flamingo) to create three different sections in the background. I also used a Water Painter to splatter White Craft Ink. Created with the Sophisticated Sled Dies, Greetings of the Season Stamp Set, Deckled Rectangles Dies, and the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.
Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have a total of 25 amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!
Then…..when you CASE one of our SFF teammates, share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post. We will share in our stories to inspire others as well!

For this card, I started with a Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I took a bit of a subtle approach for this challenge, and I decided to use Blending Brushes (along with Copper Clay, Petal Pink, and Flirty Flamingo) to create three different sections in the background. I also used a Water Painter to splatter White Craft Ink. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I used one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out the background.
To create the wreath and the ice skates, I used the Sophisticated Sled Dies. For the ice skates, I used a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the laces, and used a Gold Foil Sheet (distressed with a nail buffer) for the blades.
The sentiment (from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using a Versamark Pad and Gold Embossing Powder. To add some extra texture, I created a bow with the Gold Twisted Thread. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always
