beautiful day..

03.14.2025…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! Even though it’s the middle of March, it’s a “snow day” here in Northern Nevada. It may still be winter outside, but it’s a “beach day” inside my craft room. I just couldn’t wait to pull out the Beach Day Stamp Set and Beach Day Dies to create this card! Hope this card inspires you to create a spring or summer card, as well!

Additional details and a complete supply list can be found on my blog post at: https://stampspaperscissors.com/2025/03/14/beautiful-day/

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I used a Blending Brush to add Azure Afternoon to Basic White Thick Cardstock, used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, and dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool. I then used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink to add some splatters. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I tore off the bottom right edge, and adhered it to the embossed cardstock.

I used several of the Beach Day Dies to die cut several of the pieces from Basic White Thick Cardstock. For the other die cut pieces, I used Blending Brushes, along with Berry Burst (for the lifeguard shack), Gorgeous Grape (for the flag and life preserver), and Granny Apple Green and Old Olive (for the palm leaves). Before I die cut these pieces, I used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, and dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool. I then used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink to add some splatters.

The sentiment (from the Beach Day Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Embossing Powder. To create the bow, I used White Baker’s Twine (with a few threads pulled out). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls.

Wishing you creativity always,
