#tgifc517…bold backgrounds

03.21.2025…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! We are so glad you are joining us this week’s “bold background” challenge! Break out those background stamps, or create your own bold backgrounds – how ever you do it – we want to see it!!!

For my card, I used Blending Brushes to add Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, and Azure Afternoon to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets and White Craft Ink droplets. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project, using this week’s challenge!

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I used a Blending Brush to add Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, and Azure Afternoon to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink, to add some splatters. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool once more, I layered a slightly large piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to the panel to the card base.

To create the leaves and flowers, I used Blending Brushes, along with Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana. Before I die cut these pieces, I used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, and dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool. I then used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink to add some splatters. Layered underneath the flowers and leaves, is a die cut created with Basic White Cardstock, using one of the Thoughtful Wishes Dies.

The sentiment (from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Blooming Pearls and Iridescent Faceted Gems.
