03.23.2025…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month is inspired by sweet treats…..ice cream, doughnuts, cakes and more!
To create my card, I chose to used the Cake Celebrations Dies, along with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Hope this card inspires to make a “sweet” card or project, as well!
For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. After I tore off the right edge, I adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the cake pieces and flowers, I used Blending Brushes to add Melon Mambo, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, and Coastal Cabana to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, and dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool. I then used the Cake Celebrations Dies to cut out all of the cake pieces, and the Country Birdhouse Dies to cut out the flowers. For the icing in the middle of the cakes, I used one of the dies along with Basic White Thick Cardstock.
To create the cake stand and the little banner on the cake, I used a nail buffer to sand a Gold Foil Sheet. I then cut out the pieces with the Cake Celebrations Dies.
For the sentiment, I used a Blending Brush to add Coastal Cabana to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and faded out the ink toward the bottom of the cardstock. After I adhered the cardstock to a Foam Adhesive Sheet, I cut out the letters with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies.
I used the Gold Twisted Thread (with a few threads pulled out) to add some texture underneath the cake. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled Iridescent Faceted Gems and Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins (from the recent Sale-A-Bration promotion).
