06.10.2025…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created with the new Weekend Adventures Stamp Set. Even though it coordinates with the Weekend Adventures scrapbooking collection, it is perfect to use for cards and other projects as well. After I finished watercoloring the images, I also added some speckling and a whimsical hand-drawn border. Hope this card inspires you to use one of your favorite stamp sets in a fun, unexpected way as well!

For this card, I started with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. After I added a layer of Basic Beige Cardstock underneath, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Basic Beige Cardstock base.
I stamped the images and sentiment (from the Weekend Adventures Stamp Set) on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, using a Saddle Brown Stazon Ink Pad, and dried the ink with a Heat Tool. I then used a Water Painter to color the images with the following Classic Stampin’ Pads…..coffee mug (Pool Party, Pretty Peacock), flowers (Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight), leaves (Soft Sea Foam, Mossy Meadow), background (Gray Granite).
Next, I added some speckling with Coastal Cabana and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers. I also used a Water Painter to add just a few water droplets on the background, so that ink would “run” a bit more. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool again, I used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to hand-draw the border. I then distressed all of the edges on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and the Basic Beige Cardstock.
After I cut out the sentiment, I punched a little hole in the corner, and added a tiny Linen Thread bow (with the threads pulled apart). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled a few clear gems from the Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems.
Wishing you creativity always,
