#tgifc529 – sketch challenge…

06.12.2025…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! We are so glad you are joining us for another inspiring week of creativity and fun! This week’s sketch challenge is all about versatility with a clean, simple design that opens the door to endless possibilities. The sketch features a large, off-center circle—perfect for showcasing your favorite stamped image, layered die cuts, or even a photo element. A simple strip runs beneath, ideal for anchoring your design with a sentiment, ribbon, washi tape, or any decorative touch your imagination dreams up. We can’t wait to see how you make this sketch your own!

For my card, I used the Cake Celebrations Dies and one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies (for the circle)…..an of course I had to add a shabby chic bow! Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project, using this week’s challenge! We can wait to see what you create!

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I added a layer of Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper. To create the circle, I used one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also used a Blending Brush to lightly add Strawberry Slush to the background.

To create the cake pieces and flowers, I used Blending Brushes to add Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used the Cake Celebrations Dies to cut out all of the cake pieces, and the For the icing , I used additional dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock.

For the lemon slices, I also used Blending Brushes to add Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight to Basic White Thick Cardstock. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I heat-embossed the lemon slices (from the Cheers & Sips Stamp Set), using White Embossing Powder, then cut them out by hand.

To create the cake stand and the little banner on the cake, I used a nail buffer to sand a Gold Foil Sheet. I then cut out the pieces with the Cake Celebrations Dies.

The sentiment (from the Birthday Celebration Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Gold Embossing Powder. To add some shabby chic texture, I created a bow with White 1/4″ Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
