stamping sunday blog hop – sketch layout and in-colors…

06.15.2025……Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month is inspired by a a sketch layout (from the Stampin’ Up! 2025 – 2026 Annual Catalog…along with showcasing at least one of the In-Colors. That being said, I was so involved with the inspiration from the sketch layout that I completely forgot to incorporate at least one of the In-Colors…..silly me! I decided to post my card anyway, and hope that you will still be inspired to one of your favorite sketch layouts to create your own card.

For my card, I chose to use the new Gallery Blooms Dies (for all the branches) and paired it with one of my all-time favorite products….the Country Woods Designer Series Paper!

(For my inspiration, I used this sketch layout below…..from Page 26 of the Stampin’ Up! 2025 – 2026 Annual Catalog.)

For this card, I started with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, sanded it with a nail buffing block, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. To create the tag, I used Basic White Thick Cardstock, then added a border on the bottom edge with one of the Fancy Border Dies. I also embossed the tag with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, then used the Country Lace Designer Series Paper to add a border at the bottom of the tag, and a small circle (with a hole punched out) at the top of the tag.

To create the large branch, I used a nail buffing block to lightly sand a Gold Foil Sheet, then cut it out with one of the Gallery Blooms Dies. I also used one of the smaller Gallery Blooms Dies to cut out two branches from Basic White Thick Cardstock.

To create the tiny flowers, I used a Blending Brush to add Petal Pink to Basic White Cardstock. I also added speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I then used one of the Birthday Celebration Dies to cut out the flowers.

The sentiment (from the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Gold Embossing Powder. To add some shabby chic texture, I used the following four ribbons (all cut in half lengthwise) at the top of the tag: Basic Beige 3/8″ Classic Ribbon, White 1/4″ Ribbon, Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon, and Gold 1/8″ Trim Ribbon. I also added a Linen Thread bow to tie all of the ribbon together. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and Low Profile Dots.

Wishing you creativity always,

You won’t want to miss any of this month’s projects!
