july 4th…

07.04.2025……Happy 4th of July, my stampin’ friends! I just love the new Party Alphabet Dies, and I thought that they would be just perfect to create this patriotic card. I also used the Elements of Text Stamp Set (for the background) and the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set (for the sentiment). Hope this card inspires you to mix and match some of your favorite products as well!

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. To create the background, I used a Blending Brush to add Blueberry Bushel to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin’ Pad, along one of the stamps (from the Elements of Text Stamp Set) to stamp the background images. I also added some speckling with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

To create the letters, I used a Blending Brushes to add Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel to another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used the Party Alphabet Dies to cut out the letters. To create the splattering on the letters, I used a Water Painter, along with White Craft Ink. I cut out the same letters once more from Basic White Thick Cardstock, and layered them underneath the other letters.

The “4” was cut out from a Silver Foil Sheet using one of the Birthday Celebrations Dies, and then once more from Basic White Thick Cardstock (which was layered underneath). The “th” (from the Birthday Celebrations Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Embossing Powder.

The sentiment (from the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set) was heat-embossing on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. I also used a Sponge Dauber, along with White Craft Ink, to give a “chalkboard” look to the sentiment. To add some shabby chic texture, I created a bow White Baker’s Twine (with a few threads pulled out). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Rhinestone Basic Jewels an Iridescent Faceted Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
