07.16.2025…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created with the Storybook Garden Patch Bundle. The images are just perfect for some quick watercoloring, and are so much fun to mix and match. To add to the rustic feel, I also used one of my favorite products…..the Country Woods Designer Series Paper! Hope this card inspires to add a bit of rustic charm to your cards and projects!
For this card, I started with two different patterns of the Country Woods DSP, adhered them to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base, and lightly distressed the DSP with a nail buffing block. To create the background, I used a Water Painter to lightly add a bit of Balmy Blue and Gray Granite to some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
I used the Storybook Garden Stamp Set, along with my Saddle Brown Stazon Pad, to stamp all of the images on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. To color the images, I used a Water Painter, along with the following ink colors: strawberries (Flirty Flamingo, Strawberry Slush, Soft Sea Foam, Mossy Meadow), watering can (Coastal Cabana, Gray Granite), and the garden tool (Gray Granite, Pecan Pie). I then cut out the images with the coordinating dies, and added some speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I also used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the images.
The sentiment (from the Simply Said Stamp Set) was heat-embossing on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. For the stitching, I used my Take Your Pick Tool to add the holes, and then used Linen Thread for the stitches. After I layered some Pecan Pie Cardstock underneath the panel, I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add a bit of rustic bling, I sprinkled on Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots.
