05.27.18…I’ve got to be honest…I’m obsessed with the new Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. The patterns are to die for! It also comes with another option … each 12″ x 12″ sheet has a “shimmery” side, as well as a matte side. You just can go wrong with this gorgeously versatile paper!
For this card, I decided to go with “shimmer” option, using two different patterns from this beautiful paper collection. Both strips of paper were layered on a Whisper White Cardstock base, which was speckled with Sahara Sand Ink. For the “shine”, I used a Gold Foil Sheet along the Layering Circles Framelits and the Bloomin’ Hearts Framelits (for the little flowers). I also used the Layering Circles Framelits, along with Vellum cardstock, to die cut the second scalloped circle.
To add a bit of contrast to the “shimmer & shine”, I used White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (along withe the Detailed with Love stamp set) to heat emboss the sentiment on Basic Black Cardstock. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For some extra texture, I added a bit of Gold Metallic Thread, and some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. For that last bit of bling, I added a Tinted Faceted Button, a Rhinestone Basic Jewel, and a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
TIP: Adding a “matte” element (such as the sentiment above) to a card that’s mostly shimmery, shiny, or sparkly. will add an interesting and unexpected twist to your design.
