07.07.18… It’s a really warm day here today…about 97 degrees or so. Although I’m really grateful that it’s been a fairly mild summer so far, when it gets close to 100 degrees, it’s just plain hot! And…I don’t know about y’all, but when the hot weather hits, I like to make meals that are simple, quick and easy. Actually, a fresh Greek Salad and a couple of slices of chilled watermelon sound just perfect right about now! Ok…and maybe a little fro-yo for dessert!
Speaking of simple, quick, and easy…..this latest card of mine is exactly that! To keep things clean and crisp, I embossed a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the Subtles Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, add a Linen Thread bow, and then use a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere in onto a Whisper White cardbase.
I cut four different squares (about 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ each) from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, and adhered each of them with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. The sentiment (from the P.S. You’re the Best stamp set) was stamped using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, cut out, and adhered it with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little bit of bling, I added a couple of Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Simple, quick, and easy…at it’s best!
TIP: Instead of stamping your sentiment directly on your card base, cut out the words and pop them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. This will add an extra bit of interest and dimension to your project.
