1.03.18…..Ok my stamping friends, I realize it’s already November, and the Christmas season is upon us (…especially if you been to your local mall lately). However, I’m still trying to soak in those last few of weeks of Fall, and remembering that we still have Thanksgiving to celebrate and to appreciate all of the many blessings I have. So…I just had to make another card with the Country Lane Designer Series Paper. And, yes…if you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with it! The color combinations are absolutely gorgeous….from Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry, to Mint Macaron and Early Espresso, and even Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I love them all!
On my Crumb Cake Cardstock base, I adhered a piece of Country Lane Designer Series Paper, and then layered on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (embossed with the Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Before layering on another piece of Country Lane Designer Series Paper, I also sponged the edges of the Whisper White Cardstock using my Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad.
The sentiment (from the All Things Thanks stamp set) was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock, using an Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad, and then die cut with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. After distressing the paper, I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I speckled the paper using my Crumb Cake Marker (using the wide end of the marker and flicking it on the edge of the marker cap).
Underneath the sentiment, I tucked in all kinds of goodies. I used the Sprig Punch (with Gold Shimmer Paper) and leaves (from In the Woods Framelits) were die cut from Vellum Cardstock. For just a bit more texture, I added in some White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Braided Linen Thread. For my last little detail, I sprinkled in a few gold Metallic Pearls.
TIP: Just a little bit of Glimmer Paper can add a whole lot of sparkle to your project!
