Before I go any further, I wanted to mention that time was not on my side this week. That being said, I did not have time to complete my casual and beginner card, but I’m at least posting my avid card.  Thank you for your understanding!

So, let’s get started with my avid card…

I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder,  with some Whisper White Cardstock, After I layered it with a slightly larger pieces of Whisper White Cardstock, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.

For the focal point of this card, I used a square of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  I used the Painted Poppies stamp set to stamp the large poppy (from the Painted Poppies stamp set) a couple of times in Calypso Coral, and the a few more times in Flirty Flamingo.  I then stamped the leaves in Old Olive, and the “splatter” stamp was stamped in Pool Party several times to fill in the background.  To watercolor all of the images, I used my Aqua Painter, and just pulled the color in from the edges and the centers of the stamped images.  After my paper was dry, I added some speckling with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (by flicking the thick end of the marker against the marker cap). Before I adhere the paper to the card, I tucked a piece of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper underneath.

The sentiment (from the Peaceful Moments stamp set) was stamped on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and then distressed the paper just a bit. Before I adhered the sentiment with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding and a few strands of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine underneath.  For that little bit of bling, I sprinked on a few of the From My Heart Faceted Gems and a couple of Peaceful Poppies Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
