Last month, I shared one of the new die sets from SAB Coordination Product Release…..the Nature’s Thoughts Dies!  I just love how this die set coordinates with the Positive Thoughts stamp set, from the new January – June 2020 Stampin’ Up!  Mini Catalog.  Check out all of the amazing samples from January’s blog hop here!

Today, I’m super excited to share another one of the new die sets from the SAB Coordination Product Release…..the Special Day Dies!  This is just the cutest die set!!!  It coordinates perfectly with all of the stamps in the Special Someone stamp set!  And you know what that means, my stamping friends…..no more fussy cutting!!!

Also included in the Special Day Dies, is the tiniest little bow, and a flower die that allows you to cut out four tiny flowers at once.  Love that!!! In fact, I used that same flower die to create the little Petal Pink and Pool Party flowers on both of my cards.  That being said, let’s get started with today’s projects…

Special Moments - Special Day by Tammy C. Wilson

For my first card, I started with a piece of Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, layered it with a slighty larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  I also added a narrow strip of Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP (notched at one end) and adhered the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base, using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.   I then used one of the Stitched Shapes Dies to die cut a circle, and embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  Underneath, I added a Vellum Cardstock scalloped circle (die cut with one of the Layering Circles Dies).  I also added two little strips of Parisian Blossom DSP near the bottom of the circle. Before I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked in a bit of Silver Metallic Thread underneath.

Using the Special Someone stamp set and my Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad, I stamped “solid” squirrel image and then the “detailed” squirrel image on top of that.  After I die cut the squirrel with one of the Special Day Dies, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment (also from the Special Someone stamp set) was stamped in Gray Granite as well, and popped up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Special Moments - Special Day by Tammy C. Wilson (angle)I used some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon for the bow, and added in a few little strands of White Baker’s Twine. Using the “four flowers” die from the Special Day Dies, I die cut several flowers in Petal Pink and Pool Party.  I distressed all of the flowers, and layered several of them together (one on top of the other) using some Mini Glue Dots.  I also sprinkled some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and silver Metallic Pearls in the centers of the flowers.

And for my second card…..

For this card, I embossed a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, layered it with a slighty larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I also added two strips Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP, as well as a strip of Vellum Cardstock (torn across the top edge).  On top of that, I added a Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP scalloped square (die cut with on of the Layering Squares Dies).  I then used one of the Stitched Shapes Dies to die cut a square, and embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I that square with a Whisper White scalloped square (die cut with one of the Layering Squares Dies again).  Before I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked a bit of Silver Metallic Thread underneath.

  1. I have just recently been seeing your works of art on a couple of blog hops. I understand why you are a part of the Artisan Designer Team. I am so inspired by your work. I would never have thought to use the someone special stamp set in such a beautiful and delicate way. Thanks for sharing.
