03.30.20…..Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I decided to pull out another favorite stamp set of mine that I hadn’t used in awhile….Piece of Cake! It is such a cute set, and so versatile for so many different occasions and celebrations! The possibilities are endless!

For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. After I layered some Highland Heather Cardstock underneath, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then cut out a smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and used a Stamping Sponge, along with my Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad, to add a subtle bit of color. I also used the “Mr. & Mrs” sentiment (from the Piece of Cake Stamp Set) and stamped it randomly across the background. (Some I stamped normally, and some I “stamped off” once.) After I embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, I added some speckling as well. (I “flicked” the thick end of my Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker against the marker cap to create the speckling.)
I stamped the cake, cake stand, and hearts (all from the Piece of Cake Stamp Set) on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad and cut out the cake and cake stand with the coordinating Cake Builder Punch. To cut out the little hearts, I used the multi-heart die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies. (I discovered that one of the little hearts on that specific die fit perfectly with these little hearts.)
To color cake, cake stand, and hearts, I used the Pool Party Stampin Blends Combo Pack, Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack, Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack, Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack, and the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack. Before I popped everything up with a some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked a bit of Silver Metallic Thread underneath. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several Iridescent Sequins.
