04.27.20…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I decided to #sharesunshine by creating a card using my Daisy Punch! I was also inspired by a card that fellow demonstrator, Anne Marie Hile, posted yesterday. While she didn’t used the Daisy Punch, she created a bright, cheerful card using the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set. Thank you for the inspiration, Anne!
For this card, I started with some Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and layered some Crushed Curry Cardstock underneath. After I added just one little ply of Basic Black Country Club Twine, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the daisies, I used a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, along with my Aqua Painter, Crushed Curry Classic Stampin’ Pad, and Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin’ Pad. I then misted the paper just a bit with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool. Once the paper was dry, I punched out six daisies with the Medium Daisy Punch, and adhered them together (in groups of two) using several Mini Glue Dots.
The sentiments (from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut in half). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Glitter Enamel Dots.
