08.28.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun “Designer Takeover” challenge for you! Elizabeth Price (one of our TGIF Designers) choose a 3D Challenge. That’s right, my stampin’ friends…..grab your 3D glasses for this one because we’re making diorama, aperture, tunnel, pop up, or any three dimensional stepped up type of card. I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with a piece of Gilded Autumn Speciality Designer Series Paper, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. (By the way, the “speckling” on the DSP was already printed on the paper.) I then used one of the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut out a “window” in the paper. I also used the window that I cut out as a template to line up the window on the Whisper White Thick Cardstock card base, so that I could cut the window out it the same spot. Once I had both windows cut out, I adhered the DSP to the card base.
The three little mugs (from the Warm Hugs Bundle) were stamped with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, and I stamped the center of the mug in Real Red, using the coordinating stamp. After I cut out each mug with the coordinating die (also from the Warm Hugs Bundle), I punched a tiny hole in the center of the handle, and added some Linen Thread. I then popped up the mugs with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment (also from the Warm Hugs Bundle) was stamped with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, cut out, and popped up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled a Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the middle of each mug.
