06.018.2021…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have an awesome technique challenge for you…Peek-A-Boo Window! It’s such a fun way to add some dimension to your cards, and the possibilities are endless! Hope it inspires you to create to your heart’s content, whether it’s cards or other paper projects!
For this card, I started with some Petal Pink Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Petal Pink Cardstock base. To create my “Peek-A-Boo” wind, I unfolded the card base. I then used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out a rectangle though both the embossed cardstock and the the front of the card base.
The “happy” was created with the Playful Alphabet Dies. I had some left over scraps of a watercolor stamping project (using Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo, on Basic White Thick Cardstock), so I decided to use that paper to cut out my letters. I then layered some Basic White Cardstock on the inside of the card. To pop up the letters, I also die cut the letters from a Foam Adhesive Sheet.

The “birthday” sentiment (from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set) was created with my Versamark Pad, Heat & Stick Powder, and Gold Leafing Embellishment. After I cut it out by hand, I layer a bit of Petal Pink Cardstock underneath, trimmed around the edges, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For some fun, sparkly texture, I created a bow with Flirty Flamingo Ribbon and Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon…both cut in half vertically. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
