06.25.2021…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! We love bringing you weekly paper-crafting inspiration, and are so excited to have you join us in this week for a Designer Takeover Challenge! That’s right folks…the amazingly talented Andrea Tracy Tucker (one of our team members) has challenged everyone to create a “Farmhouse Chic” card! How cool is that?!? This challenge should be a great one to spark wonderful creativity! We hope you have a chance to play along with us today! We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with some Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (…which is one of the Stampin’ Rewards you can earn when you host a Stampin’ Up! party of $150+), and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
I used one of the leaves stamps (from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle), along with Pear Pizzazz, to add a background to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I also used my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward, towards the paper.) I then embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the “cherries”, I used one of the peach stamps (from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle), along with my Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad. Before I actually stamped each bunch of “cherries” on some Basic White Thick Cardstock, I used a Sponge Dauber (along with Cherry Cobbler) to add a bit shading to the cherries. After I cut out the cherries with the coordinating dies from the same bundle, I popped each one up with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The sentiment (also from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also used some Black Twine (separated in half) to create a bow. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
