01.02.2023…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends…and welcome to 2023! And…..today, I wanted to share a card that I created just for that occasion! I wanted to get the year started with a pop of fresh, bright colors. To create the numbers, I used the new Alphabet A La Mode Dies, from the new Stampin’ Up! January – April 2023 Mini Catalog. These dies are just so much fun, and the possiblities are endless! Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project for this brand new year as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then add two different patterned papers from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.
To create the background, I used a Blending Brush to add soft swirls of Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay, and Highland Heather to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. Next, I used my Water Painter to “flick” water drops across the cardstock, then dried it with a Heat Tool. I then layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up with entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To create the numbers, I used the new Alphabet A La Mode Dies, along with some Silver Foil Specialty Paper. (Before I die cut the numbers, I used a nail buffer block to lightly sand the paper…just to distress the paper a bit.) Next, I adhered the distressed paper to an Adhesive Sheet, and die cut each of the numbers.
The sentiment (from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Behind the numbers, I add some silver Simply Elegant Trim, which I pulled apart into smaller strands. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on For Everything Fancy Sequins, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and Sparkle & Shine Sequins.
