For this Sunday’s hop, we are featuring projects with a “what’s love got to do with it” theme . I was also in the mood use the Cup of Tea Bundle, so I came up with these two “heart-filled” cards . Hope these projects inspire you to create some “love-ly” projects as well!

For both of these cards, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, die cut it with the Stitched Greenery Die, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base.
To create the watercolored base for the teacups , I used a Water Painter to add Polished Pink, Sweet Sorbet, and Real Red to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once the paper was dry, I used the “solid” teacup die (from the Cup of Tea Bundle) to cut out the teacups. For the top layer of the teacups, I used the “outline” teacup die, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock, and then popped up the teacups with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create hearts and the “LOVE” letters, I used the same watercoloring technique as above. After the paper was dry, I adhere it to a Foam Adhesive Sheet before I die cut the shapes. The hearts were cut out with dies from the Cup of Tea Bundle, and the letters cut out with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies.

The little “love” and “love you” sentiments (from the Thanks a Bunch SAB Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The “miss you” sentiment (from the Cup of Tea Bundle) was also heat-embossed, and cut out with one of the coordinating dies from the same bundle.
The bows were created with White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (cut in half lenghwise), and Black Baker’s Twine (with just one thread pulled out). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on For Everything Fancy Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
