06.02.2023…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week we have a fabulous color challenge for you…..using Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime Twist, and Smoky Slate! Color challenges are one of my faves, and it seems like y’all really love them, too! Hope this card inspires you to create a fun, unique card using this week’s challenge!
For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. and stamped the typewriter (from the Just My Type Stamp Set) several times on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Smoky Slate Classic Stampin’ Pad. After I added some speckling with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card base.
To create the flowers and leaves, I used a Water Painter to add Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist to some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used several of the dies from the Paper Florist Dies to cut out all of the shapes. For the centers of the flowers, I used two of the small dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock and Smoky Slate Cardstock. I also used Mini Glue Dots to adhere all of the pieces together.
The sentiment (from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut apart the sentiment, I popped it up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To create the bow, I used Black & White Gingham Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise), along with Linen Thread. For a rustic bit of bling, I add Round Brads, which I lightly sanded with a nail file block.
