08.10.2023…..Happy Thursday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created during my Facebook Live event on July 28th. I used watercoloring for the background, along with a couple of the stamps from the Boho Beach Kit. I always love to creating watercolored backgrounds, because each one is totally unique. Hope this card inspires you to add some watercoloring to your cards and projects as well!
For my card, I started with a Petal Pink Cardstock base, and created the “notebook” border with one of the Gorgeously Made Dies. To create the watercolored background, I used some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and a Water Painter, along with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo ink. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used one of the stamps from the Boho Beach Kit to stamp the leaves in Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo. I also “stamped off” some of the images as well.
The sentiment (also from the Boho Beach Kit) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To create the bow underneath the sentiment, I used black Baker’s Twine, with a few of the threads pulled out. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels,Tinsel Gems, and Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
