sweet citrus…

08.13.2023…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Fall is just around the corner, but I’m still in the mood to make some fun, colorful summer-themed projects. And…what better bundle to use than the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder! I also combined this bundle with some watercoloring techniques to create the citrus slices. Hope these projects inspire you to create a few more summer projects as well!

For the backgrounds on all three projects, I used Basic White Thick Cardstock, along with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I cut out the tag with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, and used one of the Deckled Rectangles Dies for the larger note card.

I added a bit of extra texture to the tag with the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack and 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine.

To create the citrus slices for each of the projects, I used a Water Painter, along with Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green, to quickly add some color to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder to cut out the citrus slices and leaves.

The sentiments for each of the projects were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used two sentiments from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, and one from the Season of Chic Stamp Set. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
