pick of the patch…

09.04.2023…..Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I was totally ready to start creating all of my fall projects! And…..I was super excited to used the new Pick of the Patch Bundle…..from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! September – December 2023 Mini Catalog. It is just the cutest combination of sentiments, images, and even includes the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch! I also used a watercoloring technique along some extra distressing to create this card. Hope this card inspires you to start your fall crafting as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (from the upcoming Mini Catalog), and adhered it to a Pecan Pie Cardstock base.

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (from the upcoming Mini Catalog), and adhered it to a Pecan Pie Cardstock base.

To create the background, I used a Blending Brush to add soft swirls of Pumpkin Pie to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. Then, I inked up two of the little pumpkins (from the Pick of the Patch Bundle) with my Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamped “off” once, and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Cajun Craze to a small part of the stamp. To give it that watercolored look, I misted the stamp with a Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), before I stamped in on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. (I repeated this process for stamping each of the invidiual pumpkins.) The pumpkin stems (also from the Pick of the Patch Bundle) were stamped in Pecan Pie.

Next, I added some specking with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and a Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker. I also used a Water Painter to add water droplets to the cardstock. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I crinkled up the cardstock several times.

The sentiment (from the Pick of the Patch Bundle) was heat-embossed on Pecan Pie Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Meadow Dies, I add some Linen Thread, and then tie a bow. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Neutral Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
