stampin’ fancy friday – sketch challenge…

03.27.2024…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing the card I created this month for our Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge. It’s a wonderful Sketch Challenge, which is always a great source of inspiration! For my card, I used the Beach Day Bundle, along with some Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper for the background. Hope these inspire you to create a card or project with this sketch challenge, too!

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We so many amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using that month’s challenge! Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with some Bright & Beautiful DSP, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with one of the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder, layered another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used one of the Beach Day Bundle dies to create waves from Basic White Thick Cardstock, then used a Water Painter to lightly color them with Pool Party ink. To create the three Basic White Thick Cardstock “sand dunes”, I used another Beach Day Bundle die, then partially overlapped each “sand dune”.

The three surfboards were die cut from Basic White Thick Cardstock (using another one of the Beach Day Bundle dies), then colored with the following Stampin’ Blends Markers…..Light Bubble Bath, Light Soft Sea Foam, and Light Pool Party. To create the little Basic White Thick Cardstock flowers, I used one of the Lovely & Sweet Dies, then colored them with a Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Marker.

The sentiment (from the Beach Day Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For some extra texture, I added a Linen Thread bow. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

Wishing you creativity always,
