stampin’ fancy friday – earthy tones challenge…

09.21.2024…..Happy Saturday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s an “Earthy Tones” challenge! Our team members each created a fancy card or project using earthy colors! It could be an Autumn inspired, new twist on Christmas, masculine themed, etc.

I love everything about Autumn, so I was super excited about this Earth Tones Challenge. To create the leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add Copper Clay and Wild Wheat to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then splattered water droplets with a Water Painter, added some speckling, and cut them out with one of the Autumn Leaves Dies. For the eucalyptus, I used the same technique, along with Pecan Pie, Pebbled Path, and one of the Textured Florals Dies. I also used the Citrus Blooms Dies, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems, and Country Woods DSP.

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have a total of 24 amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..when you CASE one of our SFF teammates, share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post. We will share in our stories to inspire others as well!

For this card, I started with some Country Woods Designer Series Paper, adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base, and then used a nail buffing block to lightly sand all of the edges of the DSP. Next, I used one large label die (from the Citrus Blooms Dies) to cut out a label from Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used the large leaf frame die (from the Citrus Blooms Dies) to cut out a frame from Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered it to the large label. I also added a Linen Thread bow, which is placed underneath all of the leaves.

To create the leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add Copper Clay and Wild Wheat to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then splattered water droplets with a Water Painter, and dried the paper with a Heat Tool. Next, I added some speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker, and cut them out with one of the Autumn Leaves Dies. For the eucalyptus, I used the same technique, along with Pecan Pie, Pebbled Path, and one of the Textured Florals Dies.

The sentiment (from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Copper Embossing Powder. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Autumn Leaves Dies, I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
