stamping sunday blog hop – nature’s palette…

08.24.2025…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month is inspired by “nature’s palette”. Be inspired by the palette of color that you see around you…..be it autumn changes, or the beginning or end of summer.

For my card, I chose to use the Country Woods and Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. To create the branches, I used Blending Brushes to add Old Olive and Mossy Meadow to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and splattered water droplets with a Water Painter.

For this card, I started with some Country Woods DSP, and adhered it to an Early Espresso Cardstock base. I then added a layer of Basic White Thick Cardstock. On top of that, I added another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. I then added one large vertical strip of Country Woods DSP to the center of the the embossed cardstock. Next, I layered two lighter pieces of Country Woods DSP together, and tore off the right edge. To create the three little flags for the banner, I used the Beautiful Gallery DSP, along with one of the Nested Essentials Dies.

To create the branches, I used Blending Brushes to add Old Olive and Mossy Meadow to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and splattered water droplets with a Water Painter. After I dried the cardstock with a Heat Tool, I used one of the Charming Day Dies to cut out the branches.

The sentiment (from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. For some extra texture, I added a Linen Thread to the little flags, and also create a bow. To add a bit of rustic bling, I sprinkled on Pressed Flower Motifs.

Wishing you creativity always,
