5.08.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun sketch challenge for you! That’s right, my stampin’ friends, it’s time to get your creative juices flowing…and get inspired along with us! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with some Pool Party Cardstock, embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Pool Party Cardstock base. For a bit more texture, I added some Gray Granite Cardstock, embossed with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I then used the “solid” mountain range stamp (from the Mountain Air Bundle), along with my Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad, and “stamped it off” once on a strip of Whisper White Cardstock. I then stamped the “outline” mountain range on top of that, using my Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad. Before I adhere it to the card base, I added some speckling with my Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker. (I created the speckling by “flicking the thick end of the marker against the marker cap.)
The trees were stamped in Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Gray Granite. They were all “stamped off” once, and cut out with the coordinating dies from the Mountain Air Bundle. I also added some speckling again with my Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker, and popped them up with several Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (from the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp Set) was stamped in Gray Granite, cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Before I popped up the sentiment with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked a bit of Linen Thread underneath. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Clear Faceted Gems.
